Beginners Blacksmithing
Join us for a hands-on, one-day blacksmithing experience from 10am to 5pm, designed especially for complete beginners. This course is the perfect introduction to the world of blacksmithing.
You’ll spend the day learning how to shape hot steel through a series of fun, practical projects, while getting to grips with eight core forging techniques and becoming confident with essential tools.
From your very first hammer strike, you’ll be forging, learning, and having a truly smashing time!
We always start with an easy warm-up project to help you get comfortable at the forge, before moving on to more challenging pieces that build your skills.
Our project selection changes every few months, so there’s always something new to enjoy — but the techniques you learn remain consistent.
Most students complete around three projects during the day, and some groups manage even more!
